When I was in grade 8 in 1978, a teacher named Eric Stentaford started teaching in our school in St George’s. In grade 9, I was drawing cartoons in my notebook during biology class…when he walked by and tapped on my drawing and shook his head. I thought, “Oh, god…doomed.”
The next day during a class break he brought me 2 books on cartooning techniques. He told me I had talent and told me to use the books until we left school in June. Over the years I learned a lot from the books and learned that he was an artist. Many years later I have used the cartoons to make a lot of people laugh and I never forgot what a kind encouraging teacher he was.👍
