Teachers change lives every day

Thank you, Ms. Sheehan

Author: Kaila LeDrew
Teacher's name: Mary Ann Sheehan
Teacher's school: Ascension Collegiate

Ms. Sheehan was my clothing & textiles teacher in grade 11 and my nutrition teacher in grade 12 at Ascension Collegiate but she has always been, and continues to be, a teacher of everyday life lessons to me.

She was always supportive in class and taught us to do our best with everything we did. But her support for students goes beyond just school work as her commitment to extra curricular activities is tremendous.

In my graduating year, she was the main reason that Ascension Collegiate had a female hockey team, and being a part of that group has been one of the fondest memories of my k-12 career.

She has always always been there for me when I needed her, and I am beyond appreciative that her support and encouragement inside of school (and outside)  has only grown since I’ve graduated high school and continued my education at MUN.

Ms. Sheehan is not only a teacher, but a mentor and a friend. I couldn’t ever thank her enough for the inspiration and support she has given me over the years.
