When I moved to Corner Brook from a small community on the Northen Pen, school was rough. Between being bullied and missing my family, I purposely didn’t care about school. I was depressed.
Mrs. Joyce, who taught at Presentation Junior High, was my strength. She gave me chances and made me see how worth it I really was. A special thank you to Mr. MacGillivray, who was such an awesome math teacher, that I realized that math was actually one of my strong suits! And for the first time in my life, I was understanding what math was all about. I went on to advanced Math and calculus in high school. 🙂 And never had an issue figuring it out after.
There was also the guidance councellor, who also played a huge role in making me who I am today!
Thanks to all the educators! I appreciate everything you did for me!
