Teachers change lives every day

Thank you, Mr. Beauchamp

Author: Sarah Hardiman
Teacher's name: Bob Beauchamp
Teacher's school: Bishop's College

Mr. Beauchamp did a lot more than teach me Geography. He taught me how to be a good person by continuously believing in me and genuinely caring for me. He was so important to me that I shared a Father-Daughter dance with him at my grade 12 graduation, and it was certainly my highlight of the night!

The bond between us is still strong, more than 5 years after he taught me. He once told a friend of mine, whom he knew was my friend, “tell Sarah her favorite teacher said hi” and without even a hint I knew it was him. He had no doubt he was my favourite, and I’m sure there are more people that feel that way as well.

He made learning fun for me, something that is hard to do with Geography! He made me smile every day, and still does every single time I see him. He is definitely someone I have a lot of love for.

Thank you, Mr. Beauchamp (aka BCB – Big Cuddly Beauchamp) – for being my teacher, making learning fun, believing in me, being proud of me, contributing to who I am as a person, cheering me up when I’m down, and just being a great second father figure to me during my teenage and adult life. I will always appreciate everything about you!
